Jean Waterhouse

Jean died on the 11th of August aged 75. I could not put Jean's occupation as i cannot remember
the list of jobs that Jean told me about. The occupation i knew Jean in was working as a health care
assistant. Jean has two children,Lynne and Ian. Also two grandchildren Sarah and Robert, and two
great grandchildren,Lucy and George. Jean passed away peacefully with a form of asbestoses of the
lungs. I could not put into words fully how much Jean meant to me. i met Jean through work and we
soon became very good friends. Jean saw me through some very bad times in my life, always there with
words of support for me and a shoulder to cry on aswell. Jean would always tell you straight even if
you were wrong, you could always rely on her to tell it as it was. Sometimes you would think
'thats a bit harsh Jean' isnt it! but in the cold light of day you knew she was right.
Jean had the most wonderful family, all so very close and always there for each other. Family to
Jean was everything and i admired the closeness of them all so much,especially the relationship Jean
had with her daughter Lynne. They spent so many hours together. Jean loved her so much. Jean passed
away in St Gemmas. My memories of the hospice were not very good before now, but seeing the love
care and attention that Jean received in there changed my mind. Jean had made it clear that she was
going to die in the hospice and took residence in there six weeks ago, and there was no way they
were sending her home. She loved it,especially the day of our pretend wedding. I am getting married
in four weeks time to Trevor and made the wedding preperations around -my star guest. Unfortunatley
we were told that Jean would not make the day a few weeks ago. We all rallied round and put together
a day for Jean to remember it was wonderful and to see Jeans face, how happy she was meant the world
to me. We have lovely photos and reminders of the day to last a lifetime. In four weeks time its the
real wedding and with all my heart i want to marry Trevor, i am just going to need a lot of help to
get me through the day or maybe an angel to guide me!
I know you will be with me in spirit Jean, and you will be in my thoughts all the day. It is just
such a shame that we got so near. I could go on for a long time saying what an inspiration this lady
was to me, and what she meant to me but Jean you knew that didnt you? I will miss you so much all my
